Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma (born July 1, 2006), popularly known as Qing Madi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and dancer. Born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, she became known through her hit single “See Finish.” She rose to limelight after the release of “Ole” ft BNXN, which peaked at Number 1 and 3 on Uganda Apple Music and Nigeria Apple music respectively.
== Early life and career ==
Chukwuma was primarily raised by her mother, along with her siblings. She began performing at a young age, participating in school talent shows and singing in her church’s adult choir.Qing Madi’s first single, “See Finish” (2022), made its breakthrough primarily on TikTok. As of 2023, she has three singles and has been gaining prominence in the music industry, having performed at the Homecoming event in Lagos, Nigeria. Qing Madi’s music genres include Afrobeat, Pop, Soul, and R&B.In 2023, Spotify announced that Qing Madi had been chosen as the Spotify Africa Equal Ambassador for the month of June.On July 21, 2023, Qing Madi released the single “Ole” featuring Bnxn, The song made entry to multiple Apple Music charts and peaked at Number 12 on Turntable Official Nigeria Top 100 On August 19, it made its entry into the Official Charts Afrobeats Chart and peaked at Number 16.
