Fireboy and Ed Sheeran’s ‘Peru’ reaches the top 40 on US pop radio

After the record cracked the US Billboard Hot 100 and got a new remix, featuring American artists, Blxst and 21 Savage.

On February 21, 2022, Nigerian singer, Fireboy‘s new single, ‘Peru (Remix)’ featuring Ed Sheeran, cracked the top 40 on US pop radio, Mediabase reports.

This comes after the record cracked the US Billboard Hot 100 and got a new remix, featuring American artists, Blxst and 21 Savage.

This news comes on the day that British entrepreneur, Jamal Edwards, who made the remix happen in the first place, passed at the young age of 31.

Celebrating Edwards, Eze Ezegozie, the head of EMPIRE Africa, to which Fireboy is signed, wrote on his Instagram page, “No coincidence. Thank you Jamal, still blessing us from above.”

Word on the streets reports that ‘Peru’ is set to further rise up the charts, as Fireboy makes a new home in the US.
